The Philippine eLearning Society organizes activities on eLearning reaching out to different regions of the country. In 2003 when PeLS was founded, the officers and board trustees immediately planned the first PeLS organized National Conference in 2004 at the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU). From 2004 to 2008, PeLS have been working in partnership with different academic and government institutions like the University of Santo Tomas, National Computer Center and Asian Institute of Management to be the venue of the national conference of PeLS. After 5 years, the officers and board trustees decided to bring the conferences outside the National Capital Region.
In 2009, PeLS organized the 8th National Conference in Baguio City to reached out members in Northern Luzon of the Philippines. The following years in 2010 and 2011, PeLS went to Cebu in the Visayas Region and Palawan Island respectively. Dumaguete City, also in Visayas was the venue of the 2012 National Conference of PeLS. The University of the Philippines Los Banos was the society's partner in 2014 conference.
In 2013, when PeLS celebrated its 10 years founding anniversary, the society decided to reach out to other nations and ventured its first International Congress on eLearning (ICE) in The Heritage Hotel Manila, City of Pasay, Philippines. PeLS is now committed in organizing International Congress on eLearning every 2 years.
In 2015, PeLS 2nd International Congress on eLearning (ICE) was conducted at The InterContinental Manila, City of Makati, the Philippines with the theme "ASEAN and the Global eLearning Ecosystem: Growing in Pedagogy, Advancing in Technology and Responding to Challenges". The 2016 National eLearning Conference (NeLC2016) was hosted by Saint Louis University, Baguio City.
Aside from organizing conferences and congress, PeLS also gives eLearning Kapihan, workshops and eLearning Industry Seminar Series to members of the society. eLearning Kapihan is an informal gathering of members where over a cup of coffee they discuss about eLearning. The objectives of Kapihan is to empower members and at the same time strengthen collaboration among themselves. PeLS also gives workshops about Instructional Design and use of LMS like Moodle. The eLearning Industry Seminar Series is when a company organizes and sponsors a seminar for PeLS members.
