What makes for good online teaching?
This webinar session will provide an overview of the skills and principles that make for effective and engaging synchronous and asynchronous online teaching experiences. It covers key elements such as preparation, camera and mic techniques, managing the flow of a lesson as well as managing participants and keeping them engaged and on-task. It will also demonstrate the effective use of the free Adobe Spark (digital productivity and creativity tools) to develop engaging instructional materials and also allow students to creatively construct their learning. The concepts discussed in this session are relevant for online and distant teaching & learning as well as a blended approach of online and face to face. About the speaker:
With about thirty years of teaching and education leadership experience, Dr Tim Kitchen is Adobe’s Senior Education Specialist for Asia Pacific. Tim regularly liaises with schools & universities focusing on enhancing creativity in education. He also manages the Adobe Education leadership and active use programs throughout Australasia and helps lead the Adobe Education Exchange which now has over 770,000 members. A passionate advocate for creativity in education, and a well-recognized education thought leader, Tim is a regular presenter for a wide range of national and international education events. Maximizing Digital Tools for Remote Online Teaching
